The McManus Scholarship

The McManus Ambition in Pageantry Scholarship is a provincial scholarship designed to support delegates who demonstrate exceptional ambition, tenacity and hard work. Sponsored by Charlotte Benitz, Miss Personality Canada 2023/24 and her mother, Meg McManus this award was built on family values. Charlotte and Meg believe that ambition is invaluable and will propel you in life. They wanted to create something new and unique to reward delegates who showed outstanding aspiration.

The scholarship recipient will receive:

  • $150 towards Personality Pageant Nationals Fees
  • $350 mentorship package with Miss Personality Canada 20223/24
  • Award sash

"Creating a scholarship was very meaningful to me as I know financial barriers can be difficult to overcome in the pursuit of one’s dreams. I wanted to create something that reflected my values and rewarded perseverance, tenacity, hard work and, of course, ambition. Ambition has been a driver throughout my life and the key to many of my accomplishments including my provincial and national titles. My mom and I sponsored this award together as family support and love has been the backbone of my life. We are beyond excited to be awarding one teen and one miss both a monetary scholarship towards the continuation of their pageant journey on the national stage and mentorship with myself. I am ecstatic to work with these individuals on their goals & skills leading up to the national competition."

ANSWERS TO YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can I be considered for this award?

All 2024 provincial delegates are automatically considered for the award!

Do I have to commit to attending nationals to receive the award?

Yes, it is required that scholarship recipients commit and put down a deposit for the national pageant before receiving their prize package, as Charlotte will be working one on one with them on their preparation for competition!

Can I defer my award to the following year?

Scholarship deferrals are not permitted.

This award is designed to support ambitious provincial delegates on their journey to the national pageant. Recipients must be attending Personality Pageant Nationals 2024.

How will the scholarship winner be chosen?

The winner will be chosen by a selection committee!

What are the expectations of the scholarship recipient?

  • Commit to the national pageant
  • Take minimum 1 photo in award sash and post to instagram tagging @charlottebenitz , @misspersonalitycanada and @personalitypageantsca
  • Communicate with Charlotte to schedule mentoring sessions

How do I receive my mentorship package?

Once committed to nationals, the award winners will be contacted by Charlotte via email to schedule their mentoring sessions.
